The Anderton Therapeutic Gardens Society (ATGS) operates The Gardens on Anderton, located in Comox, BC. Our goal is to promote health and wellness by providing an enjoyable and interactive gardening experience for people of all ages and abilities.
ATGS relies solely on donations, grants, and sponsorships to provide the funds needed to operate. We operate entirely with our member volunteers. Their contributions include everything from tending garden beds, mowing lawns, composting, maintaining buildings, board leadership, planning, administrative support, fundraising, and hosting special events.
All this work takes between 2,500 and 3,000 volunteer hours in The Gardens in the summer, and even more throughout the whole year by members of our Board of Directors and Committees. We strongly believe that the many hours put forth by our dedicated volunteers are what makes The Gardens on Anderton a wonderful place for our community to enjoy.
